When is the best time to visit Greece?

Late May to June and September to early October are ideal: warm sea, long days and fewer crowds than July and August. Spring and autumn are also the most comfortable for walking around the Acropolis in Athens.

How do you get to Santorini?

Fly into Santorini (JTR) directly or via a short domestic flight from Athens, about 45 minutes. Or take a ferry from Piraeus or Rafina near Athens — roughly 5 hours by high-speed ferry and 7–8 hours by conventional ferry. Ferries also connect Santorini with Mykonos, Naxos, Paros and Crete.
